Montserrat, outside Barcelona is a striking mountain range that towers over the Catalan landscape. Just a short distance from the bustling city, it offers a serene escape with its breathtaking views, ancient monastery, and hiking trails. Whether seeking spirituality or outdoor adventure, Montserrat in Barcelona is a must-visit destination.
We rented a car and drove the 50 minutes drive from Barcelona along some winding roads in the late spring. The landscape is breathtaking and the drive itself is an experience.
MONTSERRAT
By Train and Cremallera
FGC (Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat) trains to Montserrat depart from Barcelona-Plaça Espanya Station leave every hour from 08.26 am.
The R5 (Barcelona - Manresa) line also links up with the Montserrat cable car and rack railway stations.
Montserrat’s Cremallera is a public transport service giving visitors magnificent views as it ascends more than 600 metres up the mountain. The journey from the Ferrocarrils de la Generalitat railway station in Monistrol de Montserrat to the monastery covers 5 kilometres.
The journey takes 15 minutes, with departures from Monistrol Vila every 20 minutes.

Montserrat’s cable car (Aeri), which entered into service in 1930, is the quickest way to reach the sanctuary.
At an average speed of 5 metres per second, the cable car covers the 1,350-metre journey comfortably, scaling gradients of up to 45%, in just 5 minutes. During the journey, passengers can have splendid views of the beautiful scenery, and glimpse part of the magnificent Monumental Rosary.
Cable cars depart every 15 minutes.

I think you went to a few places, filmed them and then recommended them rather than going to places that have been recommended. There are far better places to have ice-cream, better delis, churros shops and so on. I'd take these recommendations with a pinch of salt.

150 Euro is a MASSIVE rip off for that fishing mate. We pay £95 for 10hrs fishing in the UK for fishing over 10kgs and loads of them
And this was before Covid, inflation etc. I wouldn't be surprised if it's €200 now. But you can be up to 4-6 people to share this cost if you want. Anyway, £95 for 10 hours is a really good deal if it's for the the whole boat.
